Crazy Recipe Box Coincidence

About 2 months ago I was shopping around, looking for treasures for my store and stumbled upon a bright yellow recipe box with bold red flowers painted on it. I am a sucker for those 1970's, flower power items and just had to have it. I brought it home, cleaned it up a bit, and sat in on the shelf, keeping it there until I thought it should be listed in my store. Meanwhile, I went about my business and kinda put the little box to the back of my mind. But this box just didn't want to be forgotten. I am sure it felt neglected as better, more expensive things kept leaving the shelf. I might say, I think it was jealous and just needed some attention. So what did this little box do to get my attention? Well, it decided to appear in front of my eyes in a documentary from 1975. It was about 2 weeks later that I sat in front of the TV screen watching the documentary Grey Gardens, when my eyes caught a quick glance of a recipe box in the movie. Toward the middle of the movie, one of the main characters Edith Beale (the mother) was given a recipe box just like the one that sat on my shelf. At first I didn't believe it, it couldn't be the same box. Since I was watching the movie through the DVR, I paused it at the exact moment the camera was on the box, and went to get mine. As I examined the screen and examined my box, it was very clear they were the same. I was shocked! My little box was a minor character in a vintage movie.
