My Secret Thrifting Spots

If you live in or around Abilene, Texas, then it is time to visit the St. Vincent De Paul thrift store located at 1241 Walnut St..  I would frequent this store when I lived closer, and now when I am in the area I stop by and take a peek to see what they have.  The store has a wide variety of items from clothing and shoes, to a large book and housewares section. If you like linens, there are plenty of bins to rummage through.

St. Vincent De Paul is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m..  Remember to take cash with you because they currently are not accepting credit or debit cards so they can maximize their profits. The proceeds from the sales at the thrift store all go to a worthy cause.  The money helps pay rent, utilities and medications for those in need.
Every first Thursday of the month is the $7 Sack Sale. Fill a paper sack to the brim with any used merchandise and only pay $7. There are a few items not included in the sale, but most of the store is up for grabs.  What a bargain!!

If you would like to contact the store, you can reach them by phone at (325) 677-6871.  Find more information about the charity at  http://www.svdpusa.org/
